Very nice indeed. Have you considered a different framing ratio? Halving the negative space on the right would give it more balance for me. I love the soft pink against the soft blue background. High marks

Thank you. :-) I don't understand though, the negative space is on the right. Maybe you meant less negative space? I did try a square crop with this but preferred the space. Sometimes you just need space. :-) I know it's not for everyone.

I sometimes use 6x5 as a crop ratio as something between square and 3:2 (another ratio I use is 16:9)

6x5 isn't very easy to convert into print though, and a square crop would make this too tight.

But I still like this one very much!

3:2 isn't great for print either, loose some off the long end. I didn't think to try 6:5 with this one, just did. Quite like but didn't like the water drop (which isn't so noticeable really) in the dead centre. Thanks for the advice. :-)

This is a GORGEOUS high key shot. The compo is just a bit heavy right and bottom to me. But very high marks!

Yes! I agree with others a slightly different crop, loosing some on the bottom and right would bring this up to a 5x5 imo.

I like the crop because it breaks the rules. It creates some tension in the composition which seems at odds or in conflict with the dreamy quality of the blossom itself. I like this bit of tension/discord in the image. It makes me pay attention and not just appreciate it for a few seconds then move on to something else and forget it because there are so many 'dreamy' flower photos out there.
